The Wombles Downunder Supporters Association (WDSA) started after Rob Smith, a sports journalist from Sydney, Australia and working for The Times newspaper in London, started supporting Wimbledon FC back in the 1980s. He realised there were other Wimbledon fans from down under, and started a newsletter specifically for them. Over time Rob moved back home with his family, but continued the publication. With over 30 years of back issues, Rob's vision of a publication for antipodean supporters is as vibrant as ever with contributions of fans across the globe.
I've contributed a column to the newsletter for many years. As a fan of Wimbledon FC since the early 1980s and it's subsequent reincarnation as AFC Wimbledon, I'm hopefully able to provide an insight for fans unable to make games into what's going on.
I encourage you to subscribe - WDSA website
